Remove two bolts (Figure 3, Item 1) and self-locking nuts (Figure 3, Item 2) securing rebound chains
(Figure 3, Item 3) to right and left equalizing beams (Figure 3, Item 4). Discard bolts (Figure 3, Item 1) and
self-locking nuts (Figure 3, Item 2).
WARNING
The axle weight is approximately 275 lb (124.73 kg). Use extreme caution when handling
the axle. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical
attention in the event of an injury.
7.
Using suitable lifting device, lower axle while an assistant balances axle, pull axle out from under semitrailer,
and place it on dunnage.
