REMOVAL - Continued
NOTE
For torque rods attached to the axle tower, pry off the metal plug caps from the
towers to gain access to the torque rod self-locking bushing nuts.
Mark one end of the torque rod tube relative to installation location and orientation
prior to removal of the torque rods to avoid possible reversing of torque rod
during reinstallation.

Remove eight bolts (Figure 2, Item 2) and self-locking nuts (Figure 2, Item 5) securing both ends of four
upper and lower torque rods securing axle. Discard bolts (Figure 2, Item 2) and self-locking nuts
(Figure 2, Item 5).
5.
Remove spigot caps (Figure 2, Item 1) and torque rods (Figure 2, Item 3) from spigot (Figure 2, Item 4).
