UNCOUPLING GOOSENECK FROM TOWING VEHICLE
Uncoupling the gooseneck from the towing vehicle must be conducted with the semitrailer lowered to the ground
or resting evenly on wooden blocks.
WARNING
All personnel not involved in the coupling/uncoupling operation must stand clear of
towing vehicle and semitrailer to prevent serious injury to personnel. Failure to
comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
To prevent injury or death to personnel or damage to the equipment, coupling
should be done by two people, the first person in the towing vehicle cab and the
second acting as a ground guide. Operator must know where ground guide is at all
times. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical
attention in the event of an injury.
The semitrailer should ALWAYS have the wheels chocked, with or without a load,
during coupling or uncoupling to towing vehicle and when parked. Failure to
comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.

Disconnect 12-volt and 24-volt electrical cables from towing vehicle to gooseneck electrical connectors
(Figure 15, Item 2) at front of gooseneck.

Disconnect service (blue) and emergency (red) air lines from towing vehicle to gooseneck gladhands
(Figure 15, Item 1).
