Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around
vehicle. Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and
cause a direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel.
NOTE
Continuity measurements taken at heavy-duty winch control station remote control
connector will check continuity across HIGH IDLE ON/OFF switch and wire 1516 and 1843.
1.
Disconnect chassis harness connector MC41 from heavy-duty winch control valve harness. (WP 0049)
2.
Position heavy-duty winch control station HIGH IDLE ON/OFF switch to ON position. (WP 0010)
3.
Set multimeter switch to ohms.
4.
Connect positive (+) probe of multimeter to wire 1516/1849 at heavy-duty winch control station remote control
connector, terminal D. Refer to schematics.
