C A U T I O N
Use pieces of wood or similar soft material to protect fan spindIe from vise
damage.
1.
SECURE FAN SPINDLE (1) IN VISE AND REMOVE CUP PLUG (2) BY PIERCING WITH PUNCH
AND PRYING OUT. DISCARD CUP PLUG.
2.
REMOVE SPACER RETAINING BOLT (3) AND SPACER (4). REMOVE FAN SPINDLE (1) FROM
VISE.
C A U T I O N
Make sure fan spindle does not drop free from spindle housing to prevent
damage to equipment.
3.
SUPPORT SPINDLE HOUSING (5) ON BLOCKS. USING HYDRAULIC PRESS, REMOVE FAN
SPINDLE (1) FROM SPINDLE HOUSING (5).
4.
REMOVE INNER ROLLER BEARING SNAP RING (6) FROM FAN SPINDLE (1).
