REMOVAL
1.
Release all pressure from hydraulic lines by disconnecting gooseneck hydraulics from power source.
2.
Disconnect hydraulic line (Figure 1, Item 2) from hydraulic check valve (Figure 1, Item 1).
3.
Disconnect check valve (Figure 1, Item 1) from hydraulic lift cylinder fitting (Fitting 1, Item 4) and remove
O-ring (Figure 1, Item 3). Discard O-ring (Figure 1, Item 3).
CAUTION
Cap or plug all fittings and hose ends to prevent contamination of hydraulic system. Failure
to comply may result in damage to, or destruction of, equipment or mission.
4.
Cap or plug open lift cylinder fitting (Figure 1, Item 4) and open hydraulic line end (Figure 1, Item 2).

CLEANING
WARNING
Compressed air used for cleaning or drying purposes, or for cleaning restrictions, should
never exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Wear protective clothing and eye protection, and use
caution. Do NOT point compressed air at other personnel. Failure to comply may result in
death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Clean check valve and blowout using compressed air.

INSTALLATION
1.
Remove tape or caps from lift cylinder fitting (Figure 1, Item 4) and hydraulic line disconnected end
(Figure 1, Item 2) and apply antiseizing tape to threads of check valve (Figure 1, Item 1) and lift cylinder
fitting (Figure 1, Item 4).
2.
Install new O-ring (Figure 1, Item 3) on lift cylinder fitting (Figure 1, Item 4).
3.
Connect check valve (Figure 1, Item 1) to lift cylinder fitting (Figure 1, Item 4) and hydraulic line
(Figure 1, Item 2) and tighten as appropriate.
4.
Pressurize system and check for leaks.
