ECU OPERATING TEST - Continued
10.
Disconnect sensor electrical connector (Figure 1, Item 1) from ECU assembly.
11.
Connect leads of a multimeter to two wire component terminals inside disconnected connector.
12.
When checking resistance, meter must read 900-2,000 Ohms.
13.
Check and replace sensor (Figure 1, Item 2) and cables as required.
14.
To perform a sensor gap adjustment, push sensor (Figure 1, Item 2) into its holder (Figure 1, Item 3) until it
contacts tooth wheel (Figure 1, Item 4).

ECU Operating Test.
15.
There must be no gap between sensor and tooth wheel.
16.
Ac voltage should measure 0.2 V ac when wheel is rotated at a rate of 1/2 revolution per second.
17.
Make necessary repairs and repeat Steps 1 through 7.
18.
To perform fault code check, apply constant power to ECU/dual modulator valve assembly for more than 1,
but less than 5 seconds.
19.
Remove power and then reapply power.
20.
ABS indicator lamp should repeat appropriate blink code (Table 1) three times.
21.
Find problem in Table 1, repair as required, and repeat Steps 1 through 7.
