3.
Install slack adjuster (Figure 3, Item 6) on camshaft (Figure 3, Item 7).
4.
Install flat washer (Figure 3, Item 8) and retaining ring (Figure 3, Item 9).
NOTE
Turn adjusting screw clockwise to align clevis with air chamber shaft.
5.
Using adjusting screw (Figure 3, Item 5), align clevis (Figure 3, Item 3) with air chamber shaft
(Figure 2, Item 1).
6.
Turn slack adjuster nut (Figure 3, Item 2) counterclockwise to thread onto clevis until handtight.
NOTE
Cotter pin securing slack adjuster to clevis should be installed facing wheel.
7.
Install new cotter pins (Figure 3, Item 4) and clevis pins (Figure 3, Item 10) to slack adjuster clevis
(Figure 3, Item 3) and clevis.
8.
Apply Loctite to threads and tighten jamnut (Figure 3, Item 1).
