REMOVAL
NOTE
If tire is visibly unable to hold air, begin with Step 2.
1.
Check tire assembly for proper air pressure (WP 0002). Adjust air pressure as required. Semitrailer air
supply may be used by attaching air hose to valve (Figure 1, Item 1) located next to air reservoir
dump valve.

Loosen 10 lug nuts.
3.
For rear axle mounted tires, chock opposite tire and place suitable lifting device under axle between torque
rod bracket and inner wheel (Figure 2, Item 1). Raise axle until tire assembly is off ground.

4.
For mid and front axle tires, chock opposite tire and place suitable lifting device under tandem beam
(Figure 3, Item 1) at point closest to tire assembly being removed. Raise tandem beam (Figure 3, Item 1)
until tire assembly is off ground.
5.
Place suitable support under axle from which tire assembly is being removed and lower axle to rest on
suitable support. Leave suitable lifting device in position as a secondary support.
