CLEANING
1.
Use a rag to remove any buildup of grease and dirt from gladhands.
2.
Use a rag, detergent, and water to thoroughly clean gladhand connecting surfaces (Figure 1, Item 1) to
include packing ring (Figure 1, Item 2).
3.
Allow parts to dry thoroughly.
END OF TASK
INSPECTION
1.
Inspect gladhands for damage.
a.
Check rubber grommet and screen for damage.
b.
Use a soapy solution to check for air leaks.
2.
Notify Field Maintenance if any damage is found.
