DISASSEMBLY
Remove all fittings from tilt cylinder.

INSPECTION
Inspect fittings for damage and replace as needed.

Install all fittings onto tilt cylinder.

INSTALLATION
WARNING
The cylinder weight is approximately 150 lb (68 kg). Use extreme caution when handling
the cylinder. Assistance will be needed when handling the cylinder. Failure to comply may
result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
1.
Install tilt cylinder (Figure 1, Item 3) between gooseneck frame and tilt arm (Figure 1, Item 5) and secure
upper and lower ends with cylinder attaching pins (Figure 1, Item 2).
2.
Lock cylinder attaching pins (Figure 1, Item 2) in place by inserting two new locking pins (Figure 1 Item 1).
3.
Remove caps or tape from ends of two hydraulic lines (Figure 1, Item 4) and apply antiseizing tape to
threads of inlet and outlet ports of tilt cylinder (Figure 1, Item 3).
WARNING
Wear eye protection when performing any hydraulic maintenance procedure or test. Failure
to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of
an injury.
4.
Connect two hydraulic lines (Figure 1, Item 4) to tilt cylinder (Figure 1, Item 3) and apply hydraulic pressure
to test operation and check for leaks.
5.
Extend and retract tilt cylinder (Figure 1, Item 3) 10 times to remove air from cylinder.
