EMERGENCY EGRESS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
Clean and inspect all parts IAW General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0011 00).
INSTALLATION
1.
Install emergency egress frame (11), nut plate (8), bracket (2), two washers (5), new lockwashers (4), and bolts (3) on
rear cab armor frame (6).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
procedure. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death to personnel.
Use caution when handling window glass. Glass can break unexpectedly during removal/installation
procedure. Wear face shield, apron, and gloves. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury to per-
sonnel.
For proper threat protection, ballistic glass must be correctly installed onto ballistic glass frame. During
installation, ensure that decal "INSTALL THIS SURFACE TOWARDS THREAT" is located on outside
of cab. Improperly installed ballistic glass will not protect occupants. Failure to follow this warning
may cause injury or death to personnel.
2.
With assistance, install ballistic glass (9), threat side out, emergency egress door cover (1), four washers (20), new lock-
washers (19), and bolts (18) on emergency egress door (10).
3.
With assistance, install emergency egress door (10), four washers (17), new lockwashers (16), and bolts (15) on emer-
gency egress frame (11).
4.
Install two washers (14), jamnuts (13), and bolts (12) on emergency egress door (10).
5.
Tighten bolts against the rear armor frame then tighten two jamnuts (13).
6.
Pull exit strap (7) and push closed emergency egress door (10).
