Inspect spring clips, saddles, saddle
caps, spring hangers, and attaching
hardware for looseness, cracks, or
other damage. Tighten or replace
any damaged component, if
authorized.

Check for loose screws and missing
and damaged front axle mounting
hardware.
NOTE
When lubricating front axle suspension
components, vehicle must be raised to
take weight off suspension to permit
lubrication to reach bearing surfaces.
d.
Lubricate three spring grease fittings
(24) with grease (Item 14, Appendix
C).
