1) All basic mechanical checks and physical inspections have been performed with no problem found, and
2) Diagnosis of DDEC-II was started at step Start-1 (page 3-121 ) and you have now been referred here.

Multiple Code Check
l Were there any other active codes
besides code 33?

Sensor Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect TBS Connector.
l Start and run engine at idle.
l Read active codes.

Return Circuit Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Install a jumper wire between pins
A and B of the TBS harness
connector.
l Disconnect the engine harness
connector at the ECM.
l Read resistance between sockets
PI and Y2 on the engine harness
connector.

l inspect terminals at the TBS
connectors (sensor side and
harness side) for damage; bent,
corroded, and unseated pins or
sockets.
No other codes.
