2) Diagnosis of DDEC-II was started at step Start-1 (page 3-121) and you have now been referred here.
STEP/SEQUENCE

Sensor
Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect CLS.
l Turn ignition on.
l Start engine.
l Read active codes.
l Stop engine.

Connectors
l Inspect terminals at the CLS
connectors
(sensor side and
harness side) for damage; bent,
corroded, and unseated pins or
sockets.

Check
for Short to
Return
Line
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect
vehicle
harness
connector
at the
ECM.
l Read resistance between sockets
C and D on the ECM side of the
CLS harness connector.
