WARNING
Do not place finger in hole of engine flywheel housing while engine is being barred over. Failure to follow
this warning could result in injury.
8.
Remove access plug (1) and drain plug (2) from engine flywheel housing (3).
9.
Rotate torque converter to align holes in flex plate with holes in torque converter.
CAUTION
•
Step 10 must be followed in barring engine over. Any other method may damage engine.
•
If bolts are dropped in engine flywheel housing, retrieve immediately. Failure to do so could result in
damage to equipment.
10.
Have an assistant bar engine (4) over using accessory drive (5), until placement for bolt (6) has been located through
access hole. Install bolt through access hole. Repeat until 12 bolts have been installed.
