WARNING
Improper cleaning methods and use of unauthorized cleaning solvents may injure

Cloths or rags saturated with solvent cleaning compound must be disposed of
using IAW authorized facilities procedures. Failure to comply may result in death or

Remove grease and oil with cleaning compound solvent using a soft rag.

INSPECTION
1.
Inspect for loose, missing, or damaged parts.
2.
Inspect air reservoir for cracks, dents, holes, and bulges.
3.
Inspect mounting brackets for cracks, warps, and broken welds.
4.
Inspect for rust or corrosion.
5.
Replace defective parts.

INSTALLATION
1.
Install air reservoir (Figure 2, Item 2) and two new gaskets (Figure 2, Item 8) on semitrailer frame
(Figure 2, Item 9) with four bolts (Figure 2, Item 1), eight washers (Figure 2, Item 7), and four new
self-locking nuts (Figure 2, Item 6).
2.
Remove tape from elbow opening, apply antiseizing tape to threads of elbow (Figure 2, Item 4), and install
elbow on air reservoir (Figure 2, Item 2).
3.
Connect air hose (Figure 2, Item 5) to elbow (Figure 2, Item 4).
4.
Remove tape from reservoir outlet (Figure 2, Item 3) to spring brake control valve.
