REMOVAL
1.
Release all air pressure from air lines.
2.
Identify and tag all electrical cables and air lines connected to ECU.
NOTE
The ECU/dual modulator valve is supplied with black protective caps on each sensor port.

Disconnect air lines from ECU and seal openings to lines with tape. Also seal ECU air ports with tape or
protective caps if available.
4.
Disconnect electrical cables from ECU sensor ports and seal ports with tape or protective caps if available.
5.
Disconnect main ECU power source (Figure 1).
6.
Loosen and remove two mounting bolts and self-locking nuts securing ECU to bracket and remove ECU.
Discard self-locking nuts.

NOTE

Mount ECU to semitrailer bracket and orient ECU so that exhaust port faces down. Secure using two grade
8 bolts and new self-locking nuts and torque self-locking nuts to 18 lb ft (24 Nm).

Clean threads to air lines and apply antiseizing tape to threads.
3.
Connect air lines to ECU following tags applied during removal.
NOTE
When securing sensor cables to ECU the sensor retainer clip must be pushed down to
secure connection. Retainer clips must fit in groove of sensor connectors to ensure
proper connection.
4.
Connect electrical sensor cables to ECU following tags applied during removal.
5.
Connect main ECU power source.
