a. Open hood (TM 9-2320-360-10).

b.Check A/C condenser assembly (1) and
A/C compressor assembly (2) for damage
and missing or loose hardware.
c. Check A/C compressor drive belt (3) for
damage and proper tension. Belt tension
gage reading should be 85 lb (378 N) for a
used belt and 98 lb (436 N) for a new belt.
If gage reading is not correct, adjust belt
tension (WP 0037 00).
