The Crew Protection Kit provides the M977 Series, 8 X 8, Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) with
improved protection.
2.
The Crew Protection Kit consists of armor panels that are installed on the cab of the HEMTT.
3.
The Crew Protection Kit consists of the following:
a.
Driver-side, center, and passenger-side blast deflectors under the vehicle
b.
Front, side, rear, and roof armor panels
c.
Door assemblies
d.
Radiator grille armor
e.
Ballistic glass for windshield and side door windows

The Crew Protection Kit for the M977 Series, 8 X 8, Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) has two dif-
ferent side armor and door armor configurations. The updated side armor and door armor are referred to as MODEL B
within this manual.
