CONNECT ONE OHMMETER LEAD TO BARE
LAMINATION (10). CONNECT OTHER LEAD TO
METAL SURFACE ON STATOR
EACH OF THREE STATOR (10)
TERMINALS. HIGH RESISTANCE READING SHOULD BE OBTAINED EACH TIME. IF
THERE IS NO READING OR OHMMETER READS ZERO, REPLACE STATOR (10).
CONNECT OHMMETER LEADS AS FOLLOWS (NOTE EACH READING):
A AND B
A AND C
B AND C
EACH MEASUREMENT SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY EQUAL. IF DIFFERENCE IS GREAT
BETWEEN ANY TWO READINGS, REPLACE STATOR (10).
Use general cleaning methods to clean all parts (page 2-30).

REPAIR
FOR BURNED OR CHARRED COMPONENTS (I.E., STATOR, ROTOR, ETC.).
BEARINGS IN ACCORDANCE WITH TM 9-214.
ALL PARTS FOR WEAR OR DAMAGE.
Repair of the alternator is the replacement of all worn or defective parts.
