Check for + 5 Volts
l Turn ignition off.
l Remove jumper wire.
l Connect vehicle harness to ECM.
l Turn ignition on.
l Read voltage on OPS harness
connector, socket C to socket A.

Open
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect
engine harness
connector at the ECM.
l Install a jumper
wire
between
sockets A and B of the OPS
harness connector.
l Read resistance
between sockets
P2 and Y2 on the engine harness
connectors.

l Remove
jumper wire.
l Disconnect
the engine
harness
connector at the ECM.
l Read resistance between sockets
A and B on the OPS harness
connector.
l Also read resistance between
socket B and a good ground.

l Check terminals at the ECM engine
harness connector (both the ECM
and harness side) for damage:
bent, corroded and unseated pins
or sockets. Especially WI. P2 and
Y2 terminals and pins at ECM.
