1) All basic mechanicalchecks and physical inspections have been performed with no problem found, and
2) Diagnosis of DDEC-II was started at step Start-1 (page 3-121 ) and you have now been referred here.

l Were there any other active codes
beside Code 35?

Sensor
Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect OPS connector.
l Turn ignition on.
l Start and run engine.
l Select Engine Temperature (Mode
13 COOLANT TEMP or
18 OIL TEMP) on the DDR.
l Warm up engine until
engine temperature reading
is greater than 60 degrees C
(140 degrees F).
l Leave engine running
at idle after
warm up
l Read active codes.

Return Circuit Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect the engine harness
connector at the ECM.
l Install a jumper wire between pins
A and B of the OPS harness
connector.
l Read resistance between sockets
P2 and Y2 on the engine harness
connector.
RESULT .
No other codes.
