Multiple Code Check
l Were there any other active codes
besides Code 34?

Sensor Check
l Turn ignition off.
l Disconnect TBS connector.
l Install a jumper wire between
sockets B and C of the TBS
harness connector.
l Turn ignition on.
l Read active codes.
l if active Code 33 or 34 exists go
to RESULT column.
l If no active Code 33 or 34 exists,
start engine and run until either
the Check Engine light comes
on or the engine has been running
warm for at least one minute at
greater than 1000 RPM.
l Read active codes.

l Inspect terminals at the TBS
connectors (sensor side and
harness side) for damage; bent,
corroded, and unseated pins or
sockets.
