• Check relay.
l Remove applicable relay from fuse block.
pin 86 on relay.
I l Is resistance 80-90 ohm?
• Is resistance for pin 30 to pin 87A <1?
l Is open detected for pin 30 to pin 86?
l Coil is bad. Replace relay (page 4-307).
l Test relay.
l Relay test okay?
• Go to next page.

l With ignition on, jumper wire from breakout
box pin 9 to relay pin 85.

l Jumper wire from breakout box pin 27 to
relay pin 86
l Listen for relay clicks. One click when igni-
tion is turned on; one click when ignition is
turned off.
