1. Shift Selector Display Is Blank.
1. Check if VIM fuse is blown.
Replace VIM fuse (WP 0071 00).
2. Check for damaged or loose
battery connections.
Tighten

3. Check for blown fuse or fusible
link at battery.
Replace battery fuse or fusible
link (WP 0071 00).
2. Vehicle Does Not Start (Engine Does Not
Crank).
1. Check that lever is in N
(Neutral).
Place shift selector in N (Neutral)
position and restart vehicle (TM
9-2320-302-10).
2. Check for dead battery.
Recharge battery as necessary TM
9-6140-200-14).
3. Check for damaged or loose
battery connections.
Tighten
or
repair
battery
connections (WP 0115 00).
4. Faulty starter circuit.
Repair vehicle starter circuit (WP
0010 00).
5. Faulty neutral start relay.
Replace neutral start relay (WP
0071 00).
6. Faulty wiring in neutral start
circuit.
Repair wiring (WP 0119 00).
7. Voltage to ECU too low.
Check
battery
and
charging
system voltage (WP 0010 00).
8. Faulty shift selector.
Replace shift selector (WP
0120 00).
9. Lack of battery voltage on
circuit 123 from ECU when in
neutral.
Repair circuit 123 (WP 0120 00)
or replace ECU (WP 0124 00).
All Display Segments on Both Sides of Display
Lighted.
No calibration installed in ECU.
Voltage to ECU too low.
Check
battery
and
charging
system voltage (WP 0010 00).

Transmission Shifting
