ENGAGED AGAIN TRANSMISSION IS ALSO NOISY:
Refer to Direct Support Maintenance for troubleshooting.
8.
TRANSMISSION HAS A DECREASE IN OIL LEVEL WITH AN INCREASE IN
OIL IN THE ENGINE :
Step 1.
Check for inoperative breathers.
Replace the breathers (para 6-9C and 6-9 D).
Step 2.
Check engine crankshaft seal.
Refer to Direct Support Maintenance.
9.
TRANSMISSION GEARS MAKE NOISE DURING A SHIFT:
Step 1.
Check for correct oil level.
Add oil to correct level (refer to LO 9-2320-273-12).
Step 2.
Check for oil leaks.
Refer problem to Direct Support Maintenance.
Step 3.
Check for clogged oil pump suction screen.
Clean screen (para 6-9B).
