Install the preload nut
using wheel bearing nut
wrench.
If reusing the same bearings,
torque to 50 Ib-ft (68 Nm)
while rotating wheel in both
directions.
If new bearings have been
installed, torque to 100 lb-ft
(136 Nm). While rotating
wheel in both directions,
back off to 0 Ib-ft. Torque
to 50 Ib-ft (68 Nm).
Back off preload nut no
more than 1/4 turn
counterclockwise to in-
stalI cotter pin.
Screw onto spindle (1).
Tighten locknut (10) to
250 to 400 Ib-ft, (340-
544 Nm).
