STEP/SEQUENCE
C2-4 Check for Aerated Fuel
l Loosen fuel return line.
l Observe fuel flow out of line while
cranking. Use suitable container
to contain fuel.
C2-5 Check for White
Smoke
l Reconnect fuel return line.
l Look for white smoke coming out
of the exhaust stack while cranking
the engine.
C2-6 Check TRS Status via
RPM Read-out
l Select Engine RPM on
DDR (Mode 04).
l Crank engine while observing
DDR display (NOTE: Battery
voltage surges while cranking
with electric starters may blank
out or reset DDR. )
C2-7 Check TRS
l Turn Ignition off.
l Disconnect engine harness
connector at the ECM.
l Read resistance between sockets
T1 and T2 at the engine harness
connector.
