2-10. ENGINE RETARDER BRAKE CONTROLS.
NOTE
In reading the following descriptions
make sure that the throttle switch is in
its normally-closed position.
1.
ENGINE RUN SWITCH. Energizes the 12-volt electrical system, including engine retarder
brake circuit.
2.
ENGINE RETARDER SWITCH. Three-position switch allows driver to select engine braking
for two cylinders (LOW), four cylinders (MED), or six cylinders (HIGH). Depressing foot
pedal actuated switch completes 12-volt power circuit to energize one, two, or three solenoids.
