Procedure
AFTER ROAD TEST
a. Make sure the vehicle has been
cleaned of mud, gravel, etc., from the
underbody, outside and crew compart-
ment area.
CAUTION
Do not hold steering wheel at full left or
right position for longer than 10 sec-
onds. Oil overheating and pump dam-
age can result.
b. With vehicle stopped, turn steering
wheel to extreme left, then to the ex-
treme right to check for hard steering.
c. Check engine operation at all
speeds. Insure that engine does not go
over engine governed speed -
600-2100 rpm.
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing com-
pounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin
and clothing. To avoid injury or death,
keep away from fire and use in well-
ventilated area. If adhesive, solvents,
or sealing compound get on skin or
clothing, wash immediately with soap
and water.
a. Clean fuel transfer pump screen by
soaking in a carbon dissolving agent, or
clean the screen in fuel oil and dry with
compressed air. Visually inspect screen
for holes or embedded metal particles in
mesh.
