Always use caution when approaching a hot engine. Failure to do so may result in serious burns.
VISUAL INSPECTION
NOTE: Do not start engine.
(1) Turn engine switch to ON position
(TM 9-2320-360-10).
NOTE: A/C compressor clutch will make a
clicking sound when it engages.
(2) While assistant turns A/C control switch
ON (low, medium, or high blower
speed) and OFF (WP 0008 00),
observe A/C compressor clutch
operation.
(a) If A/C compressor clutch does not
engage (no clicking sound heard),
go to Step 21 of this fault.
(b) If A/C compressor clutch engages,
go to Step 3 of this fault.
