TSB 005 Door Frame Reinforcement

The following procedure will strengthen the door frames to improve fit, function
and durability.
REQUIRED TOOLS:
Mild Steel Bar .25" x 1" x 34.25"
Bottle Jack
Wood Block
Welder
Touch-up Paint
PROCEDURE:
NOTE: Steel bars supplied by
ArmorWorks will be painted, except
for 1" on each end for welding. Bars
from other sources should be pre-
painted in the same manner before
installation.
1. Open the door and place the bottle
jack on the truck step, under the rear
corner of the door frame as shown.
2. Jack up the rear corner of the door
until the side of the cab starts to lift.
3. Weld the steel strap across the top of
the lower door frame as shown.
Be sure to weld both ends.
4. Touch-up the paint
