Section II TROUBLESHOOTING
Tables 10-1 thru 10-3 contain instructions for troubleshooting the wheels, steering, and vehicle
suspension. The correction actions describe how to fix the problem or refer to a procedure for
fixing the problem. The troubleshooting tables are arranged by malfunctions in the following order.
WHEELS AND TIRES (table 10-1):
Tires wearing unevenly,
Noisy or bumpy sound while traveling down the road.
Front tires wearing unevenly.
Vehicle wanders or pulls to one side.
Lost motion or excessive play in steering wheel.
Temporary increase in effort when turning steering wheel.
Vehicle does not fully steer from stop to stop.
SUSPENSION (table 10-3):
Vehicle wanders or shimmies.
Pusher axle will not raise or lower.
Rear axle assembly not tracking properly.
