TEST OR INSPECTION
EXCESSIVELY WORN, SCUFFED OR CUPPED TIRES.
Check tire pressure.
Inflate or deflate tires as required for proper pressure.
Check for loose, cracked, or broken wheels.
If wheels are loose, tighten and torque lug nuts in accordance with paragraph 3-8.
Notify Unit Maintenance if wheel is cracked or broken.
Check suspension system for damaged, loose, or missing hardware.
Notify Unit Maintenance for repair.
Check axle for misalignment.
Axles should track behind each other and the prime mover when moving. If trailer
"crabs", or does not track straight, axles may be misaligned.
Notify Unit Maintenance if axles appear to be misaligned.
