CONNECTING GOOSENECK TO SEMITRAILER - Continued
TRAVEL LOCK MUST BE FULLY ENGAGED to prevent gooseneck and semitrailer from
disconnecting. Failure to comply may result in death or injury to personnel. Seek medical
attention in the event of an injury.
It may be necessary to raise or lower the gooseneck tilt support arm with the gooseneck
support lever to assist in aligning the gooseneck base to the semitrailer deck. It may also
be necessary to back bump the gooseneck slightly to engage the neck base slide bar. The
bar is fully engaged when the end of the bar resides in the bar recess hole.
Slowly back up towing vehicle until gooseneck lifting lugs (Figure 12, Item 5) contact front of semitrailer.
Rotate slide bar handle (Figure 12, Item 3) clockwise so that travel lock latches.
