CAUTION
Use MIL-B-46176, Brake Fluid Silicone
(BFS) for filling master brake cylinder.
Failure to use BFS may cause damage
to brake cylinder.
Thoroughly clean exterior of master
cylinder cover before removing cover.
Dirt, water, or grease will
contaminate brake fluid, causing
brake system damage.
Do not use screwdriver to remove
cover. Damage to bail wire may result
(S/N 299999 and below).
To prevent excessive fluid spillage,
ensure that rubber diaphragm is
completely seated before installing
cover to master cylinder.
NOTE
Remove cover from brake master
cylinder by moving bail wire using
thumb pressure only (S/N 299999
and below).
Remove cover from brake master
cylinder by turning cover counter
clockwise (S/N 300000 and above).
Perform step b. for S/N 299999
and below and step b.1 for
S/N 300000 and above.
